New York State Coalition for Independent and Religious Schools
RISE 2026
November 16 -17th
Albany Marriott Hotel
Connect. Learn. Lead. Grow.
The Annual RISE (Religious and Independent School Educator) Conference brings together leaders from nonpublic schools for a dynamic experience focused on professional growth, practical resources, collaboration, and connection.
Designed specifically with the unique needs of religious and independent schools in mind, RISE provides an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day demands of school leadership and invest in the people, ideas, and relationships that move your school forward.
With 20+ engaging breakout sessions, participants can explore timely topics, gain practical strategies, and discover new approaches they can bring back to their schools. The conference also offers valuable opportunities to meet directly with New York State Education Department (NYSED) representatives, ask questions, better understand current requirements and initiatives, and gain insight into issues impacting nonpublic schools.
But RISE is about more than professional development. It’s about community.
Connect with fellow school leaders who understand the opportunities and challenges of leading a nonpublic school. Share ideas, exchange resources, build relationships, and learn from colleagues across the region. Whether you’re looking for a solution to a current challenge, fresh inspiration for your school, or simply an opportunity to connect with others who “get it,” RISE is the place to be.
And, of course, there’s plenty of engagement and fun along the way. From meaningful conversations and networking to interactive sessions and opportunities to recharge, RISE offers a conference experience that is both valuable and enjoyable.
